India is poised to lead the next wave of global change - from artificial intelligence to clean energy, biotechnology to advanced manufacturing, the nation is rapidly establishing itself as a hub for technology, research, and innovation, powered by a thriving digital infrastructure, vibrant startup culture, and youthful, ambitious workforce.
The nation’s flagship missions such as Digital India, Startup India, the National Quantum Mission, and Atmanirbhar Bharat are underpinned by the need for empowered technical talent. Our aspirations rest on the shoulders of our young innovators.
India’s vision for Viksit Bharat by 2047 aims to create a future-ready, inclusive, and self-reliant society. The next 25 years are critical to harnessing our demographic dividend, technological prowess, and spirit of innovation to shape a new India that leads in solving global challenges.
The Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship is rooted in this vision. It aims to nurture a new generation of scientists, technologists, and changemakers who will lead India towards Viksit Bharat.
Each year, Reliance Foundation identifies 100 of India’s brightest postgraduate students from select future-ready courses in the fields of Engineering and Life Sciences to join the country’s most prestigious cohort of scholars. Through a generous grant and a robust development programme, these students will be empowered to pursue advanced studies and research in areas critical to national development and global progress.
First-year postgraduate students from institutes across India pursuing degree programmes in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Sciences, Mathematics and Computing, Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Renewable and New Energy, Material Science & Engineering and Life Sciences are eligible to apply.
Scholars will not only benefit from financial support but also from holistic development opportunities, including expert interactions, industry exposure, and volunteering engagements. Through this, the programme aspires to create a dynamic cohort of future leaders who will innovate for the benefit of society and the world.
